Do not worry

Do not worry using Logosynthesis

Advice in a 1918 newspaper

My brother found an old newspaper in the walls of his house during a renovation twenty years ago. This week, he had the opportunity to look through the pages of this October 1918 publication. He noticed the schedule for the Max Aitken Steamboat heading up the Miramichi to Red Bank, along with an article from the Department of Health entitled ‘Rules for the avoidance of ‘Spanish Influenza’ and for the Preventative Care for Those Sick With It.’ I took note of the following rule:

Do not be too anxious, that is, do not worry respecting the danger of contracting the disease. Such worry serves no good purpose and sometimes renders one more liable to contract it. Follow the above preventative measures and the advice of the physician.

‘Do not worry’ can be challenging in our times

We are in extraordinary times! It is natural to worry about our health, our children, our parents, our finances, our jobs and the list goes on. The media continuously reminds us of more reasons to be concerned.

We may know that ‘worry’ is unproductive, however it is a natural emotion in this situation. This emotion is triggered by frozen perceptions from past experiences. When we resolve the trigger, the distressing thoughts, emotions and sensations disappear.

Logosynthesis® can offer relief

Logosynthesis® offers a solution to relieve anxiety and worry. Rather than provide a list of tips to reduce worry, I am providing a link with two free videos. I encourage you to watch from beginning to end and repeat often.:

  1. Coping with Corona – Reduce Stress and Fear in 30 Minutes| Willem Lammers
  2. What is Logosynthesis®? | Cathy Caswell

Although the work appears quick and easy, the model is anchored in the deep, precise wisdom of combining spiritual philosophy and psychology. A recent survey of professional coaches, counsellors and therapists trained in the method, 65% indicate that it is highly preferred for their professional self-care compared to other tools, with 79% using it on a daily/weekly basis.  Although not yet scientifically evidence-based, here is an overview of the current Evidence for Logosynthesis®

And best of all, you don’t need to understand how and why it works. Trust the process!
