Humans or AI: Creating from Wholeness or Fragments

You are human—an extraordinary living being of body, mind, and soul. You are energy: thinking and feeling, breathing in and speaking out. You learn through mental processes, physical sensations, and emotional experiences. Energy becomes fragmented, shaping how your body and mind react to the world around you. Yet beneath it all, energy flows, with your soul whispering a deeper sense of mission and purpose—guiding you from wholeness even amid life’s fragmented experiences.

A lens on human knowledge and understanding

Logosynthesis®, developed by Willem Lammers, offers a model to not only relieve stress but also to appreciate our human nature. This model recognizes that you are Essence—life energy, born with a life mission.

Your energy is both in flow and frozen. Like a drop of water in a vast ocean, your being is always in connection with universal knowledge. You are this energy, yet not always aware of its presence. At the same time, your life experiences and cultural attitudes fragment your energy into memories, beliefs and fantasies. These patterns trigger automatic reactions, shaping how you perceive and respond to reality. In an instant, decisions are guided by mental imagery related to the past and future.

This is how we “do” life: reacting to these fragments in relation to others and the world around us.

Through history, human knowledge has always been our power. We’ve drawn from inner knowing, shared stories, scientific inquiry, and spiritual wisdom. We’ve come to understand life as physical, cognitive, and energetic or spiritual. Rational and irrational. Intuitive and intelligent.

Enter a new kind of assistant: artificial intelligence (AI), a system that works entirely from fragments of human knowledge. AI can access vast libraries of information instantly. It can analyze patterns, predict outcomes, and even imitate how we think. It offers solutions drawn from fragments of human knowledge.

But here’s the essential difference:
AI creates from fragments. Humans create from wholeness.

Personal experience with wholeness and fragments

I’ve learned this through my own journey. Growing up on a busy dairy farm, I absorbed beliefs that I needed to work hard, move fast and be a team player. These traits served me well, but they also kept me stuck in constant “doing.” I was disconnected from simply “being”—from the space where inspiration naturally arises.

Yet farm life also gave me access to nature: the “Mighty Miramichi” river, wooded trails, wide-open fields, and a sky filled with stars. Nature connected me to something greater, keeping me curious and grounded. I also belonged to a family with deep faith. While religion can fragment energy, it offered me belonging and a source of inner connection.

Through Logosynthesis®, I learned to notice and shift where I was stuck in reactive patterns. I could identify and resolve the underlying memories and beliefs that no longer served me. By “restoring the flow”, I felt calmer, less reactive, and more able to create from presence rather than from pressure.

My story is just one example. For others, fragments influence life differently. Mary, for instance, suffers physically, mentally, and emotionally from vivid, painful memories of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and misguided supports. Yet, through the same Logosynthesis® methods, she too restores the flow and reconnects with her innate strength and vitality—her Essence.

Humans or AI: Where do we start?

We begin with awareness. By noticing patterns of stress and suffering, we can see where our energy has become frozen. Logosynthesis® allows us to release what’s stuck, creating space for presence and trust in our own knowing. From there, AI can be a helpful tool—but it can never replace the soul, the love, and the spark of the Divine within each of us.

Do we start with humans or AI? We start from where we are—as humans—by recognizing stress and reconnecting with what makes us uniquely human: a life energy that unites us all.

Reflections from the lake

As I write this on a beautiful summer day by the water, I feel that my energy is in flow. I know I can polish my words with AI to better resonate with you, the reader. But it matters that I start here, in stillness, with my own voice. I will also return to the source of calm and presence after the AI edits to be sure the words capture a unified voice.

This isn’t about finding perfect words. It’s about capturing the energy of where I am—connected to my inner knowing and to the life around me.

That is the gift of being human:
To live and create in awareness of our mission.
To work in harmony with both flow and fragments.
To use the power of our words to create from wholeness in this moment.
